Community Education Series
We offer free trainings twice per month by our physicians focusing on various topics. They typically occur the second and fourth Thursday of the month either at 8am or 12pm. CEUs are provided.
In addition to on-site trainings, our staff of physicians and clinicians are able to provide trainings/workshops at your agency, free of charge, as needed. Please contact the Business Development Department for current and upcoming trainings.

Dr. Mundt is a leading presenter on issues of PTSD and Iraq/Afghanistan veterans. He has presented nationally in more than 40 cities as well as worked as a psychologist with Veterans since 1992. In addition, since 1994, Dr. Mundt has been an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Mundt is an experienced teacher, lecturer and trainer.

Presenter: Dr. Benjamin Margolis
Dr. Benjamin Margolis practices Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary and Internal Medicine in Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Margolis graduated with an MD 25 years ago. He currently serves as the Medical Director for the RES-Health Sleep Care Center-River Forest. As a pulmonologist, he diagnoses and treats diseases including asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), cancers of the lung and various infections of the lung. Dr. Margolis is board certified in Internal Medicine and pulmonary disease.

Lisa is a Therapist for the Anti-Violence Project and she is the Training Coordinator for Center on Halsted in Chicago. The Center on Halsted offers support networks and programming to meet the cultural, emotional, social, educational and recreational needs of the LGBT community and friends. Lisa is an informed and charismatic presenter.

In addition to being the Clinical Director for one of our adult units, Dr. Ranganathan is the Director of Emergency Services at Jackson Park Hospital. Dr. Ranganthan is committed to community mental health and lends his time and services to Metropolitan Family Services and Will County Health Department.

This is a day dedicated to the wellness and self-care of providers. There will be a morning and afternoon presentation. Between sessions there will be time for networking and taking advantage of various self care opportunities. Available throughout the day will be massage therapists, chiropractic groups, nutritionists, personal trainers and others dedicated to a person's overall well being. In addition, mini yoga sessions will be held at various times during the day.

9:30am — 11:00am: The Benefits of Animals and Nature in Human Life by Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy
1:00pm — 2:30pm: Presentation TBD
5 CEU's for full day; 3 CEU's for half day
Earn 1.5 CEU's.
